Instructions:

After allowing the webcam to start, try to interact with the swarm by making gestures and moving your arms.

They respond to motion and cant see stationary objects.

Press
o
to see what the swarm sees. Try pressing
p
to see the swarm try to draw a portrait of you, then toggle back with
i
.

Making the gnats have children increases the computational load, but it can help you see the portraits better - imagination also helps.




Swarm Controls:

a
- add a parent gnat to the swarm
s
- all gnats spawn children
d
- sacrifice a parent gnat
f
- sacrifice all child gnats
g
- sacrifice all gnats
q
- toggle fear of cursor




Webcam Controls:

i
- interactive mode (default after 7s)

- toggle basis image (what the swarm sees)

- draw portrait
